中国国内３０日有効の証明書を発行してもらって、チベット旅行を続けた。しかしネパールへの国境はこえられない。国境でピエールと分かれてラサに戻り、私は日本領事館に行くため北京にむかった。
After Lhasa, our tour brought us to Nam-Tso, the highest salt lake of China - 4700m. We then headed south until the Nepalese border in Zhangmu. Many nice views on the way : Yamdrok lake, Sakya monastery, Mt. Everest... We were very privileged to be able to see Himalayan mountains with a clear sky, 3 days in a row. Unfortunately, we had some trouble with our driver who tried to make us shorten our trip, without the agency's consent... a situation not easy to manage when one cannot do without a driver. We found out he had another contract starting one day before Obasan's return to Lhasa... that explains why he was driving so fast and why he invented stories about the state of the road on small side trips we asked. That surely took a bit of our pleasure traveling in Tibet. With time, I hope to best remember the stunning views of the Everest and the winding road down to Zhangmu.
I crossed the border to Kodari, Nepal, while Obasan came back to Lhasa with Fabrice and Sophie, our tourmates. She was stolen her bag in Lhasa, just before we left for Nam-Tso, with credit card and passport inside. So she has to go to Beijing to make a new passport. We will meet again in Nepal in about 2-3 weeks.
Après Lhasa, notre tour nous a amené à Nam-Tso, le plus haut lac salé de Chine - 4700m. Ensuite la route a pris la direction du sud jusqu'à la frontière avec le Népal, parsemée de beaux paysages : le lac Yamdrok, le monastère Sakya, l'Everest entres autres... Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir observer l'Everest par un ciel sans nuages, durant 3 jours. Cependant nous avons eu des problèmes avec notre chauffeur, qui sans raison, voulait écourter d'une journée notre programme... On a découvert qu'il avait un nouveau contrat, débutant un jour avant le retour d'Obasan à Lhasa. Ce qui explique sa conduite tarée et ses mensonges sur l'état des routes, dès qu'on demandait un petit détour. Avec le temps, j'espère plutôt me souvenir des vues incroyables de l'Everest et de la magnifique route qui nous a mené à Zhangmu.
J'ai laissé Obasan à la frontière, côté chinois, car s'étant fait voler son sac à dos à Lhasa, elle doit refaire son passeport à Pékin. Elle me rejoindra au Népal d'ici 2-3 semaines. La prochaine vidéo sera dans un mois environ.
