サバナケートから乗った夜行バスでは、冷房の水滴が一晩中ピエールの頭上に落ち続けて、彼はさんざんだった。ビエンチャンからローカルバスに乗って、ようやく機嫌がよくなった。ルート13を走りバンビエンに泊まる。翌日、ルアンパバーンに向かうバスから見える美しい連山に、通り過ぎるのはもったいないと、プークンで下車した。三叉路の真ん中のロータリーに座ってると、時間がたつのを忘れる。
From Savannakhét we went north to Vientiane by night bus, then used a local bus to Vang Vieng, a touristic city located in beautiful karstic mountains. We made a stop in Phou Khoun on the way to Luang Prabang, because transport takes a lot of time and because the scenery is simply amazing. Then our bus climbed down the mountain to reach idyllic Luang Prabang.
With the first video, I wanted to show lao local bus system. Buses leave the station very slowly and stop many times to carry a maximum of people or goods, sometimes left in the middle alley. Obasan and I prefer those local buses because they don't drive as fast as VIP tourist buses, they are cheap, they often play thai or lao music, and you can open the windows and have a better look at the landscape while breathing fresh air. The second video relates our stop in Phou Khoun, a charming crossroad village on the top of a mountain.
De Savannakhét nous avons voyagé à bord d'un bus de nuit dit "VIP" - un bus qui ne marque pas d'arrêts locaux - pour faire un très bref arrêt à Vientiane. Là nous avons changé pour un bus local en direction de Vang Vieng. Obasan et moi aimons particulièrement ces bus locaux car ils sont bon marché, on y écoute souvent de la musique thai ou lao, la vue y est meilleure que dans les bus VIP, et on peut ouvrir les fenêtres au lieu de subir l'air conditionné. Après une nuit dans la touristique Vang Vieng, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Phou Khoun, un village à la croisée des chemins perché sur une montagne. Le lendemain nous arrêtons un bus local en agitant la main, et descendons vers Luang Prabang.
La première vidéo essaie de montrer comment fonctionnent les bus locaux. Ils partent plus ou moins à l'heure, l'important est de remplir le bus de passagers ou de marchandises. Certaines fois le bus tourne en ville jusqu'à ce que l'allée centrale soit bouchée. La deuxième vidéo présente Phou Khoun et la route pour Luang Prabang.
